There is a rare occasion that some of us are lucky enough to experience in our lives: meeting a mentor who sees you, who takes you under their wing—who sees all of the goodness and potential you possess and makes it their personal aim to play a role in helping you become the very best version of yourself.

Dayton Hultgren was one of these people. I remember the very first time I met him.

On Monday, September 30th, nearly 400 leaders gathered for the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce Women in Leadership Conference at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center to compare notes on what it means to lead in 2024.

It was an honor to speak on embodied leadership-and to hear my extraordinary friend Jebeh Edmunds as the morning keynote….And to see so many of my friends all together in one place, bearing witness to this wondrous privilege of carving new pathways for today’s girls and young women.
